Scenariusze doświadczeń dostępne są na licencji Creative Commons Unznanie autorstwa 3.0 Polska (CC BY 3.0 PL). Pewne prawa zastrzeżone na rzecz Centrum Nauki Kopernik. Utwory powstały w ramach Programu Klub Młodego Odkrywcy, realizowanego przez Centrum Nauki Kopernik przy wykorzystaniu środków Polsko-Amerykańskiej Fundacji Wolności. The purpose of the experiment is to show what a thermal insulator is. By means of a woolly jumper as well as three glasses filled with water the participants will check if a jumper gives heat or just keeps it.

Colourful flames – how fireworks are made

Why do fireworks have so many colours? It any special dye added to them? Why do different substances placed in the burner flame give it different colours? The purpose of the experiment is to check what is responsible for giving colours to flares and fireworks. The experiment is also intended to make club members familiar with the colours that different salts give to flames.

The purpose of the experiment is to prepare kinetic sand, i.e. soft sand that is not loose. The experiment is also aimed at making club members familiar with the notion of viscosity and the phenomenon of using polymers as an adhesive (binder). Kinetic sand is a plastic material developing creativity and manual skills.
